Walking with Grief
Walking with Grief offers a compassionate space for individuals coping with the loss of a loved one. Each session focuses on a different aspect of the grieving process, helping participants gently explore their experiences while building resilience, connection, and meaning. Themes throughout the year include: •Impermanence: Reflecting on change, transition, and the natural cycles of life. •Creating a Memorial Nature Mandala: Engaging in a mindful, hands-on ritual to honor loved ones and express grief through art. •Understanding the Grief Process: Deepening awareness of the emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of grief. Every gathering incorporates forest bathing and mindful walking, offering participants the healing benefits of nature. This group is accessible for people of all abilities and bodies- our gentle walk will be slow, with lots of stops, and on the paved path around the Hospicare Residence. Through quiet reflection, sensory awareness, and grounding outdoor practices, attendees are invited to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and find comfort in the natural world. This group is designed to support those in mourning with tenderness, community, and opportunities for gentle healing.
