The performances grew through a weekly series of workshops led by Kathy Lucas and Carol S. James, inviting community members to explore grief through story and movement. In addition to the performance Hospicare will be hosting a 'Museum of Ordinary Things" in the lobby and performance space. An homage created by community members, sharing memories of loved one through artifacts of their time together “And although the objects themselves are no replacement for the people we ache for, they are a reminder of the fact that those people were here, and they mattered and will be missed.” (Museum of Ordinary People by Mike Gayle)
This program is made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.
