When you give to Hospicare, you help ensure that no one in our community faces serious illness or loss without support.
Your generosity funds 13 months of free one-on-one bereavement care to individuals and families who have lost a loved one in our care. It also makes our community bereavement programs available to anyone who is grieving, regardless of whether their loved one was on our service. And it helps keep the Nina K. Miller Residence open for patients who need a higher level of care and comfort.
This year, we partnered with FreeWill, a trusted platform for charitable giving, to offer three new ways to support Hospicare's mission. All are available through our giving page at hospicare.org/Donate-Now.
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) If you give through a Donor Advised Fund, making a grant request to Hospicare is straightforward. Submit your request through your DAF sponsor, approve the confirmation they send, and the funds come directly to Hospicare.
IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) If you are 70½ or older, you can make a gift directly from your Individual Retirement Account. For those who are 73 or older, this type of gift counts toward your required minimum distribution for the year.
Cryptocurrency We now accept cryptocurrency donations through FreeWill. Select your coin type and amount, provide your contact information, and FreeWill handles the rest, including all tax implications from the sale. Your donation comes to us in full.
Giving non-cash assets like these often comes with meaningful tax advantages, which can increase the overall value of your contribution at no additional cost to you.
Our other giving options, including planned giving and stock donations, remain available as well.
